The Lockheed PV-1 Ventura was a bomber and patrol aircraft developed from the Lockheed Model 18 Lodestar transport. The Ventura was designed as a replacement for the Lockheed Hudson bombers then in service with the Royal Air Force. Used primarily during World War II, this aircraft was used primarily by the United States and British Commonwealth forces.
