Comments
This mammoth flying boat was designed in 1941 for transatlantic passenger and mail service. By 1942 this goal had changed to military transport. Large bow doors would allow vehicles or bulky cargo to be loaded. A slightly smaller version, the Do 216, was to be an maritime patrol flying boat armed with seventeen MG 151 20mm cannon (three mounted in the tail turret). Neither version were built.
